When you join the AirForce and have made it past BMT and Tech School, you will have 5–8 hours per day of free time which you can use to work on your small business. (This is contingent that you picked your job wisely)

Five hours per day is plenty of time to educate yourself on basic business fundamentals.

Here Are Six Reasons to Join The AirForce As A Young Entrepreneur:

Risk Factor

Entrepreneurs have to take risks, in most cases, this could mean giving up the comfort of a well-paying job and a guaranteed source of income.

If you fail in a business venture as a civilian, you run the risk of losing your home, food and much more.

While in the military, however, you have a guaranteed source of income coming in every 2 weeks, a home is provided and food is provided. If your business fails to make money while you are enlisted, it will not hurt as much.

VA Loans

VA loans could give you the ability to very easily begin investing in real estate while you’re still enlisted. You can even get a loan with no money down.

The best way to go about this is to use the loan to purchase a house with little to no money down. The military will pay for your housing expense which could be upwards of $1,500 per month depending on your location. Use that money to pay down the loan and rent out any extra bedrooms in the house on Airbnb.

You could potentially make an extra $900 — $1,800 per month from that investment with little to no money down. Then at some point, you can move on to a new house and either sell the first one or continue renting it out.

Free time

Depending on your job in the AirForce, you could have between 5–8 hours of free time every day. If you spend your time wisely, this is more than enough to educate yourself on business-related topics and your industry of choice. You are allowed to operate a business while enlisted as long as it does not affect your military duties.

Free Education

While in the military, you will have access to a free college education. You can use this opportunity to study business classes as well as whatever industry it is you intend to go into.

If you plan wisely, you can even secure a military job that will train you in that given field i.e computer programming or engineering.

Networking

The military is a great opportunity to meet lots of young people who could potentially want to invest in the business with you and work on it with you.

For example, if you wanted to start a tech company, you could work closely with other programmers in the military and start together in your free time.

Disciple

This is perhaps the most beneficial reason for joining the AirForce as an Entrepreneur.

If you want to be successful in life, you must have high levels of self-discipline. The military will do a great job of making you tougher mentally.
