OMG! The last Dexter: Original Sin left me hungry for more! This series of 10 episodes was amazing. Not only is the cast perfectly aligned with the original characters, but this rendition of the show Dexter is poignantly perfect.

In particular, is the leftover character of Brian (Roby Attal), Dexter’s older brother. Dexter fans are aware that his older brother Brian is a character in the original Dexter show. However, he was always portrayed as a one dimensional psychopath.

In Dexter: Original Sin we find out more about what made Brian into a homicidal murderer. Like Dexter, Brian watched as his mother was dismembered alive by a chainsaw-wielding drug dealer. Brian was older, and perhaps, more damaged as a result.

His young life encounters rejection after rejection. He is abandoned from the life he knew and his little brother he loved and protected. Brian was institutionalized when no one would take him. All he wanted was to be with his brother Dexter again.

Another character, Captain Spencer (Patrick Dempsey), is slowly developed until we see the true monster inside. Through Spencer’s arc we see anger, jealousy and life’s disappointment arise into creating a monster without…
