Announcing Entropy Labs

Today I am pleased to announce the launch of Entropy Labs, a technology company focused on developing blockchain-enabled platforms that have real-world uses and serve a demonstrated vertical or general market need.

Our Mission

Entropy Labs builds software grounded in the following two tenets of blockchain technology: peer-to-peer networks and applied cryptography. We believe peer-to-peer networks offer the best infrastructure for the sharing of knowledge and the development of efficient economies which are free of middlemen. We believe in applied cryptography because it is the most cogent technological solution that currently exists for both robust security and the protection of users’ privacy. The combination of these can help establish trust that can eventually transform interpersonal relationships in the digital age.

The mission of Entropy Labs and its team of engineers is to get projects to the stage where they are ready to blossom — to get them onto the launchpad, if you will. After that, we expect them to fly on their own, with their own teams and communities shaping them in whatever ways they deem best. And we are hitting the ground running. Our first project is already well underway, with the team and technology largely in place and positioned to launch. We will make further announcements in the coming weeks.

The Journey Ahead

We already have an excellent core team in place that includes deep experience with blockchain technology and development as well as business expertise. We are dedicated to building systems that can thrive, grow, and evolve sustainable ecosystems. All of us believe in the potential of blockchain technology to effect positive change in the world — economically and socially, and interpersonally.

Entropy Labs is based in Hong Kong, and even in the midst of a global tech economy in which teams are distributed around the world, the place we live is a big part of who we are. We are part of the fabric of this city, and its intense global interconnectedness has been an inspiration to the types of projects we want to help build.

Entropy Labs has been a long time in the making. I’m excited to finally be able to share it with the world, and for the things we are going to build together. Stay tuned.
