We’re going through some changes

As I’ve alluded to across our socials, the team have been working on a number of changes which we will expand on over the coming days and weeks.

Over the bear market we’ve been busy onboarding users within the traditional stock media space with most users having little to no experience with decentralised applications such as ours. Whilst we have seen healthy traction and demand for our product, especially from creators, it’s becoming increasing obvious that this is not translating into the type of ‘crypto hype’ that is a driver to many blockchain based projects being successful. Whilst we’ve demonstrated product market fit and a need for our offering, in order to scale our userbase and community at a faster pace we’re being dynamic and implementing some changes that will help capture the upcoming bull market and increased exposure to the digital asset space.

We’re extremely fortunate to have Sebastian Teo joining the Envision team as Lead blockchain developer. Before moving into web3 and blockchain development Sebastian's journey began in architecture building the software that’s used to create 3D media files. It’s this experience and skillset that’s allowing us to widen our scope by including 3D assets to the list of media files supported on the Envision platform.

Whilst we will still support 2D assets and the hundreds of photographers and videographers that have already joined Envision, our focus will shift away from traditional 2D stock media and towards users of 3D media files, primarily users that operate within the blockchain space such as gaming studios and metaverse builders. Our platform will still function in the same way it does currently by allowing content creators to licence the use of their work directly to the end user, only now the media format and use case will be wider.

In addition to our new focus, given the development in scaling solutions since we originally decided to use Polygon, the team has decided to leverage the early traction and hype by deploying our utility token plus platform smart contracts, to the Base chain as our preferred blockchain. Being an EVM compatible chain, not much changes in the way of UI, however, we will expand on this transition in an official release.

We’re expecting to move our testnet contracts across to Base chain within the next fortnight followed by our mainet launch shortly after.

Our marketing efforts will begin to focus on more ‘crypto native’ channels to attract designers and builders in the blockchain/web3 space plus potential buyers of VIS token. As the wider market sentiment heats up our ability to reach those interested in our offering is amplified and we’re confident this new direction and messaging will help capture this.

You may notice some changes over the coming weeks that align our brand and messaging with our new direction and we’ll do all we can to keep you informed of our progress.
