If you’re a mid-size to enterprise company, it’s very likely that your front desk sees a lot of traffic — from vendors to clients to VIPs meeting with executives. It’s also likely that you want to protect your company’s privacy and confidentiality by requiring that each visitor sign an NDA.

If you use Envoy, you may already know that it’s easy to build this into your check-in process by having visitors sign an NDA (or any other legal document) on your iPad during check-in. This means the days of managing physical stacks of NDAs — and reserving precious time on your calendar to scan them as digital copies — are gone. Not to mention the tremendous upsides of reducing your company’s carbon footprint! Once a visitor has signed an NDA, it’s automatically emailed to all necessary parties, including the visitor themselves.

But did you also know that you can go one step further and automatically upload your documents into popular file-sharing services like Egnyte, Box or Dropbox? This means that other teams can easily access these signed documents without having to go the extra step of pulling them through Envoy.

In this post, we’ll focus on our integration with Egnyte, a leading enterprise file-sharing solution used by companies like NASDAQ, Red Bull and IKEA.

How it works

Our Egnyte integration makes it simple to file and share the NDAs your visitors sign. Every time a visitor signs your NDA, a PDF of the signed NDA will automatically upload into a specified Egnyte folder.

You can easily configure this by going to Settings > NDA. Under NDA filing, find Egnyte and click “Install.”

How you can use our Egnyte integration

  • Egnyte’s secure, open architecture is a uniquely good fit with Envoy. Because Egnyte is built as a central file repository, different teams that need access to NDAs signed at the front desk don’t ever need to open Envoy. Once the NDA is signed and uploaded, legal or HR can access it directly from their Egnyte instance.
  • If your company uses Egnyte as their main cloud-based storage, it makes sense to keep a backup of your NDAs in Egnyte as well.

We’re excited to have Egnyte join our growing directory of file-sharing services. You can learn more about our other integrations here.
