Relevant background qualifications
We have experience working on a number of different distributed systems, and particular expertise in EOSIO software. ElMato himself worked in block.one and helped to build the initial eosio code.
As a team, EOS Argentina is a Founder Block Producer for EOS Mainnet and has built several tools for interacting with EOSIO chains, some of them that we can mention — and can be implemented on the WAX Blockchain — are:
uEOSio: A general purpose python library for interacting with the Blockchain and signing transactions.
EvolutionDex: A continuous liquidity pool Protocol.
Mallmann: A library to craft custom EOSIO transactions with a great degree of flexibility that can be extended to several use cases.
Testnet Startup Kit: A public account creator and faucet for testnets, hosted at testnet-tools.eos.argentina.io
Token Creator: An open contract that allows anyone to create a token with a simple tx.
All these tools and many others can be found at our Github. They are all open source, and we are open to contributions!
Tech specs, including an estimate of technical specifications
We have set up a 5 bare metal cluster in Finland where the nodes for Wax Mainnet and Testnets will run, the specs of the servers are the following:
- 64G DDR4 RAM
- 2x960GB NVMe SSD
- Xeon E-2176G
- Unmetered 1gbps
Additionally, we have backup nodes in Buenos Aires for both Mainnet and Testnet. This server comes to life if our kill switch activates. The specs of our local servers are:
- 64G DDR4 RAM
- 2x1TB NVMe SSD
- Intel i7
- Unmetered 1gbps
This setup has proven efficient for all of our production, p2p and API nodes in blockchains such as EOS Mainnet, Telos Mainnet and Testnet, Kylin Testnet, Jungle Testnet, Meet-one, amongst others.

Your thoughts on:
Governance
An effective governance model it’s a great foundation for any chain. In our perspective, Delegated Proof of stake has been the most representative Blockchain system since its inception, the holders of the token are the ones that elect whoever they wish will represent them by producing blocks and securing the network.
However, we have seen some flaws in the DPOS systems that usually occur when small conglomerates of actors who hold large amount of assets collude together. We believe that this issue is being addressed in Wax by vetting candidates before allowing them to register and also by rating them according to their performance and tools provided to the ecosystem.
The main idea is to perfect DPOS adding useful information to the voters and preventing bad actors from taking over the networking or damaging its legitimacy.
Transparency and accountability
We ensure transparency and reliability by being closely tied to these concepts from our very beginning. Our expertise is built upon the founding mechanisms of dpos, since the early days of Bitshares and Steem. Since then, and acting accordingly to our vision for a decentralized future, we compromise ourselves to found a reliable block producer and to always act with the highest integrity.
Security & Infrastructure
As Block Producers, we believe it is important to follow strict security measures, any fault in our systems would compromise the network and the Producer’s multisig governance model. In this sense, we have several security layers to access our servers, together with an automatic kill switch that guarantees the production of blocks. Moreover, our keys are managed with a permissioned structure that protects the integrity of the network.
Final Notes
We believe it’s important for us to be reachable, and also to engage with the fresh approach that WAX is aiming to achieve with its target market: NFT trading and games. This means to be open minded and to think outside the box when it comes to developing products, solutions, or even content for a brand-new niche! It’s exciting to think about the opportunities that WAX’s vision is bringing to the Blockchain ecosystem.
