BP Summit Travel Reimbursement Fund Reimburses EOS to 24 Event Attendees
Inspired by a Travel Reimbursement Fund done previously at Steemfest, the goal of this TRF was to subsidize travel costs associated with reaching the EOSIO Block Producer & Technology Summit on June 6, 2019 and ensure the widest possible representation from our global community in San Francisco. The value in gathering from the furthest reaches of the globe to connect with one another in person is great and provides us with the personal connections, real-time conversations, and insights we need to grow and evolve as a truly integrated international community.
Reimbursement distribution was calculated by dividing total miles traveled by all participants by total EOS contributed to the official travel reimbursement fund. In total, 24 event attendees from 11 time zones received some EOS tokens as a reimbursement. Each account was sent a portion of the fund relative to the miles traveled. Funds were collected (around $5,000 USD) and then redistributed via EOS account — tuliptravels

Thanks to Emanate, there are 2,809.2906 EMT tokens which will be rolled over into the next Travel Reimbursement Fund (yes, another one!) for the upcoming conference in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil October 14–17 that is being organized by EOS Rio.
