eosDAC is hiring!

We are looking to push out fresh and exciting content around EOS and eosDAC more frequently than ever before and what could be better than asking the community to contribute towards making new content.

With your involvement, we are hoping to make all sort of content ranging from writing a blog post to making short animated web series, from making cool gifs to making tutorial videos of your favourite wallets and voting tools to name a few. Check out the eosDAC talent pool on Discord for details on the roles available and how to apply.

EOS is unlocked, but eosDAC still needs your vote

eosDAC has whitelisted a few ways to vote, but before you do, you must make sure your computer is secure. Even if you’re using a secure method, using an infected computer could expose your private keys. You are responsible for your security, so be safe and take precautions.

Cleos is an excellent option for Linux and Mac command line users. Check the tutorial for Cleos here.

Greymass is an all in one voting tool and wallet which can run locally. Find out how to use Greymass here. Read eosDAC’s official endorsement of Greymass here. You can also use eosDAC’s node endpoint with Greymass: https://eu1.eosdac.io

Scatter is a secure extension for Chrome and Firefox, similar to Metamask. Scatter allows you to enter your private key offline before connecting to the network. Check out the video walkthrough here.

You can find out more about voting and voting guides on EOS New York’s post here, this Medium post, and this YouTube video. You can check the status of the Block Producers here and follow the EOS Launch Announcements channelto stay up to date.

Recent FAQ’s

When will I receive my eosDAC tokens on EOS chain?

The eosDAC snapshot has been taken, and all ERC20 eosDAC tokens have been frozen. Tests are currently in progress on the Jungle testnet, and of token distribution, with the intention of discerning how much RAM is required to provide reliability, sustainability and redundancy. When testing is complete, and these criteria are met, we will issue a public announcement and the new EOS-based eosDAC tokens.

Why can’t I move my eosDAC tokens from my MEW or Metamask?

eosDAC tokens were frozen on Ethereum network on June 1st 23:59 UTC to prepare for the EOS mainnet launch. Hence, eosDAC tokens have become non-transferable on Ethereum network.

I did not register my wallet in time for the eosDAC snapshot. What can I do?

If your tokens are in an unregistered ERC20 wallet, do not panic. We are working on a process to bring the tokens from any unregistered ERC20 wallets over to the EOS chain. More details will be provided soon. You can check if your account was included in the eosDAC snapshot on June 1st here.

My EOS account had < 1 EOS at the time of the snapshot, will I still receive my eosDAC tokens?

Yes, however, it will take more time than if you had 1 or more EOS because your account name will be created manually, whereas account names for those with balances of at least 1 EOS were generated automatically. You can check if your account was included in the snapshot oneosdac.io/token_check

What is the best wallet to store eosDAC?

eosDAC tokens are not live on the EOS chain yet. Once they are issued on the EOS chain, the best wallet that will be ready for eosDAC tokens is SimplEOS by EOS Rio. Github https://github.com/eosrio/simpleos/releases

Trading eosDAC

Buying eosDAC from exchanges that are trading eosDAC during the transition period is entirely safe, as these tokens stored in the exchange wallets are already a part of the snapshot.
