Welcome to the second edition of the GoodGuys Digest. We are EOSphere, a standby Block Producer (BP) for the EOS network. We also manage a proxy voting account, named goodguys4eos, which we use to assign votes to BPs under 1% that we believe in. The purpose of this digest is to bring you good news from these Block Producers. Hope you enjoy :)

EOS Phillipines (account: philippinebp)

EOS PH is a Phillipines-based Block Producer on the EOS blockchain network. They are currently ranked 96 and hold 0.11% of on-chain votes. EOS PH is operated by LR Data Center and Solutions, Inc., a corporation that services regulated online gaming communities in Asia. EOS PH block producer plans are based on the requirements critical to gaming, so the EOS PH infrastructure is agile, nimble, and of a secure posture.

The Philippines is a Southeast Asian country comprising more than 7,000 islands. In fact, nearly 5,000 of these are still unnamed on global maps. It has a human population of 105 million and while it boasts 182 living languages (woah!), the official languages are Filipino (standardised Tagalog) and English.

EOS PH has partnered with Infinito wallet to promote EOS adoption.

Back in May, EOS PH hosted the first EOS.IO developers meetup in Manila. Check out photos from their blog here.

Ƀrock Pierce, board member of EOS Alliance, commented recently while in Manila on the country’s potential for crypto adoption: “Philippines has all the right attributes. The government, the central bank and banks are on board. Already 5% of the population are using coins.ph. I imagine 25% of the population will be using blockchain-enabled wallets by next year. Financial inclusion is the moral high ground argument for fintech. It becomes unstoppable because everyone wants to help the bottom (part of society) rise.”

Aurora EOS (account: auroraeoscom)

Currently ranked 91 as a block producer candidate, Aurora EOS holds 0.26% of votes. They are a relatively new addition to the BP list, with their official announcement of registration on September 18. Based in Austin Texas, they position themselves as one of the leading block producers for the “informed voter.” Myles Snider is the CEO and arguably the best known team member within the ‘EOSphere’; he is well-regarded for his detailed and thoughtful examinations of EOS and other blockchains as his previous work at Multicoin Capital.

Staying true to its slogan, Aurora EOS has already published a number of articles which address some key concerns of token holders. They also aim to cater for multiple languages, including Spanish. Education appears to be their primary strategy to onboard EOS-skeptics and nourish the minds of evangelists and token holders.

Blockgenic (account: blockgenicbp)

Blockgenic is a US-based Block Producer. They are currently ranked 89 and hold 0.26% of on-chain votes. They promote themselves as a technically strong BP with strong enterprise ties, which they are using to onboard major enterprises onto the EOS ecosystem.

Blockgenic also has a focus on education. They release informative articles often, such as the one featuring the EOS account and permissions visual shown above. A dedicated Blockgenic tab has even been added to eosDublin’s bootcamp platform, including a Masterclass on setting up a testnet.

In partnership with GenerEOS, Blockgenic have built a Help Desk platform for everything EOS related. It even includes live chat. You can read the initial Steem announcement here.

Somewhere where we can post guides and tutorials and users can interact and comment with questions that they have so the information is collated and stored for the next user.
