Global Family Day, The Ep.Log Way!
You see, every room in your house has a TV… We and our family members keep consuming stuff and feel happy about ourselves, but people forget the most crucial part of being happy…
It’s none other than your family.
Family is a place where you feel heard even if no one wants to hear you. It’s a group of people who will always be on your side, even if all odds are against you.
So that’s why, #GlobalFamilyDay is a very important day, as it highlights a very important message that today’s generation is forgetting about…
It highlights the importance of bonding and sticking closer to our family.
During this day we discourage all negative attitudes towards our families and other endeavours of life as well. Whether be environment, friends, or some random person that we know from our community — let it be anyone… we remove the hatred that’s within us so that we go towards creating a sense of community and brotherhood.
Where did this come from?
This idea started in November 1997 after people were inspired by the book “One Day In Peace” written by American authors Steve Diamond and Robert Alan Silverstein. The story imagines an ideal scenario where the entire world decides to work together to create a peaceful planet Earth.
The United Nations released this book, and it was the same time when they decided to launch the International Decade for the Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World. Following this, UN members also received an invitation to formally celebrate the first day of the year as Global.
