Instructions to add Epicenter ECR and Polygon / Wanchain to Metamask

Every Citizen’s Reserve token (ECR) is the governance token of the Epicenter ecosystem, with the primary functions of maintaining the value of the Epicenter stablecoin, EUSD, and giving holders voting rights to set policies and parameters governing the system. ECR is cross-chain and supported on blockchain base layers such as Ethereum, and second layer solutions such as Polygon and Wanchain, which generally speaking have lower gas fees and faster transactions with some security trade-offs.

The following guide will explain how to add the ECR token and Custom RPC data for your preferred Layer 2 network (Polygon or Wanchain) to Metamask. At the bottom of the page you will find some links for bridging, trading, and viewing explorer data.

Step-by-step instructions

1. Install Metamask on your preferred device and backup seed phrase: https://metamask.io/download

2. Click the upper right profile circle icon, Settings, Networks, and select Custom RPC. Go to step #3 to add the Polygon network or step #4 to add the Wanchain network.

3. To add Polygon network, add the following Custom RPC information:

5. Click save to add the network to Metamask. If you want to copy your receiving address to clipboard, exit the Custom RPC screen and click the upper middle Account clipboard icon.

6. To make ECR tokens visible in your wallet, you may need to open Metamask, go to Assets tab, scroll to bottom for “Add token” and input:
