“ BAMS Fest, Inc. in partnership with ArtsEmerson presents “Black Box Sounds” (Special Edition of The Prelude”) inside the Paramount Center — Jackie Black Box Theatre.

Black Box Sounds is an ArtsEmerson concert series that features up and coming, critically acclaimed artists from Boston and New York, working to bring local music back to Downtown Boston.

“The Prelude” is a traveling live arts and music series that helps audiences of color reimagine how they engage with all forms of artistic expression in underutilized spaces across Greater Boston.

This year, BAMS Fest will be presenting a soulful lineup that includes R&B, Funk, Soul, Tap, Conscious Hip Hop and Jazz.

Feeling Our Pulse

“ As a memorial and in honor of the one year anniversary of the attack at Pulse in Orlando and to the LGBTQ Community, The Theater Offensive will be presenting a FREE event, Feeling Our Pulse (A Vigil of Love & Kindness) on Monday June 12, 2017. at 7pm at Boston Center for the Art’s Plaza Theatre. The BCA is generously co-sponsoring this event. Together, we want to offer the broader Boston Community the chance to remember, reflect, think and heal through this event of live art and demonstrate that love, acceptance, and equality are stronger than hate and fear.

Feeling Our Pulse (A Vigil of Love & Kindness) will include the salsa music of DJ Mamba recreating the Latin Night at Club Pulse, a stage reading of five (5) short plays from “After Orlando” an anthology of plays curated by Caridad Svich and published by No Press Passport (with the participation of Nick Bazo, Luis Negron, Ines de la Cruz, Holly Newman, Jadira Figueroa and Radha Shukla), a salsa dance performance by Romeo Manuel from Out Salsa Boston, a drag queen performance by Neon Calypso, and other surprises; directed by Josean Ortiz.”
