Dear Reader,

Whiteboard.chat is a tool created by harnessing feedback from hundreds of teachers around the world.

It is continuously improving thanks to your feedback. Instead of making business tools work for classrooms, we want to create a virtual classroom atmosphere that is easy to use for teachers and students planet wide.

What can you do with it?

  • Coach students individually by observing the whole class like never before.
  • Create break out rooms and monitor them all at the same time.
  • Do synchronous testing and assignments.
  • Use it to assign asynchronous work and assign other teaching assistants to correct it.
  • Teach a class of 100s of students.
  • Low bandwidth use, the whiteboards are not shared as video streams.
  • Import PDFs or take pictures to create multi-page workbooks easily.

Simple Steps to get started:

Step 1: Login and start teaching @ https://whiteboard.chat

You can create a workbook for the class by either drawing using the mouse, a stylus or even a finger. Whatever is drawn or imported to the teacher board, is replicated automatically to all the student and group boards.

You can take photos from your phone and directly add them as pages to the teaching board. You can also upload PDFs to create multi page notebook.

You can use the line tool, and the eraser (right button shortcut). You can resize, rotate, move and even animate any drawn object by double click or double tapping the selected object.

You can lock the session down for only authenticated users with email verification from the settings (gear) icon on the top right.

Step 2: Invite others to the same class

You can start a video conference call easily by clicking the video call button on the top right.

You can also send out invites by clicking the invite button and copying the invite link to embed in a calendar invite or send via any messaging channel to the students.

Step 3: Start teaching

Once the students start to join you can observe them in real time on their boards working in real time.

You can click any of the tiles to see it bigger, or as instructor you can join any of the boards to assist one student or a group.

We give free training to people and welcome feedback. Please reach us at feedback@whiteboard.chat.
