Polaroid Corporation is a type of sole proprietorship under the photo, electronic and licensing industry. The company was established in Cambridge, Massachusetts, US in 1937, 82 years ago. The founder of this company is Edwin H. land and is headquartered in Minnetonka, Minnesota, US. The company also operates worldwide. One of the key people in the company is Scott W. Hardy as CEO, Oskar Smołokowski, as the owner of the company. Then, among the products that have been released are Digital Camera, Instant Camera, Action Camera, and instant film.

In 1977 : Edwin H. Land (founder) introduced a new product introduced the Polaroid Instant Home Movie camera named Polavision called. Unfortunately, the product does not receive a high response in the retail or wholesale community. This was due to the launch of videotape-based systems that were quickly gaining popularity among users. As a result of the failure of the Polaroid Corporation, it suffered a very high loss of $ 89 million.

In 2011 : The Polaroid Corporation filed a federal bankruptcy protection. After 10 months, most of the company was acquired by Bank One’s One Equity Partners (OEP) and was renamed Polaroid Holding Company (PHC). In 2012 : Polaroid successfully launched a new advanced technology, known as the Polaroid SC1630. This smart camera is named the SC1630 because of the combination of cameras and social media that allow users to capture high quality images resulting from the use of this 16MP HD camera. This technology is powered by Google Android. Additionally, this technology can be used to download applications from Google Play, check emails, and surf the internet. Other interesting features of this media player include WIFI, skin touch, geotagging, smart albums and 32 GB of memory.
