Epycly Launches AMD EPYC™ Virtual Machines
Epycly is proud to announce that we have launched the first cloud hosted AMD EPYC™ Virtual Machines available to the general public.
Epycly offers Virtual Machines with up to 24 vCores, 128GB RAM, and 500GB direct attached RAID-10 NVMe SSD storage. All VMs include free inbound transfer and 1TB free outbound transfer on a 10gbit connection.
All Epycly Virtual Machines are provided with per-minute billing and discounted monthly rates.
The Epycly platform has been designed from the ground up to utilize AMD EPYC™ CPUs and take advantage of the superior performance, security and value they provide.
Performance
AMD EPYC™ CPUs provide a significant advantage over competing Intel CPUs on both the number of memory channels and the number of PCIe lanes per CPU they offer.
Epycly servers offer 8 channels of DDR4 RAM and 4X direct attached NVMe SSDs for unparalleled I/O performance.
Security
With the recently disclosed Meltdown and Spectre vulnerabilities it has been revealed that all cloud based virtual machines are subject to severe security vulnerabilities.
The most severe Meltdown vulnerabilities only affect Intel CPUs.
EPYC™ CPUs support Secure Encrypted Virtualization which encrypts each Virtual Machine’s memory with its own private key to protect against a wide range of potential attacks like Meltdown. Intel CPUs offer no comparable security features.
Epycly will be rolling out support for Secure Encrypted Virtualization with our production launch.

In key areas like I/O bandwidth and overall performance/price AMD EPYC™ CPUs offer vastly superior value to current and previous generation Intel CPUs.
