A little less than a year after opening the EQT French office, EQT Ventures is now looking to grow the Paris team to continue supporting founders to the best of our ability!
With teams on the ground in San Francisco, Berlin, Stockholm, London and Paris, we aim to support the next generation of global winners across every stage (early seed to explosive growth). With former founders and operators from leading European success stories (Spotify, Booking.com, King), EQT Ventures aims to be the preferred investor for the most ambitious founders. We are hiring for 2 roles (Paris based):
Venture Lead — Scout top-tier entrepreneurs and lead investment processes with conviction
You’ll work in our investment team on sourcing, deal work, evaluating new investment opportunities but most importantly building strong relationships with founders in the ecosystem. We’re looking for a low-ego, high-EQ person to join the team and help us back the most ambitious founders. This is a great role if you have 5–8 years of operating experience working in a fast-paced startup environment and are looking to join the investment side of the table, sharing your domain knowledge with founders.
Responsibilities:
- Source new investments by building deep relationships with entrepreneurs.
- Be the expert in the room on topics tied to your past professional experiences.
- Stay up to date on the latest developments in your area of expertise (new startups, latest trends).
- Build conviction and then present a compelling case for potential investments.
- Lead and coordinate the deal team’s process from initial meeting to investment.
- Support our portfolio companies on a diverse range of topics.
Tech Research Analyst — Supporting the team on deal work and desk research
You’ll work in our investment team on evaluating businesses and trends. We’re looking for someone passionate about technology and startups, someone who has strong capabilities in digging deep into the trends driving change. This is a great role if you have 1–3 years of experience in an analytical role and are looking to learn the craft of venture capital with former operators and founders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the research work on companies and sub-sectors to give the larger EQT Ventures team a thorough understanding of an industry and a company before making an investment decision;
- Support the team in producing investment committee materials (presentations & financial models);
- Assist in the day to day operations ranging from sourcing to portfolio management;
- Sniff out trends using Motherbrain to find the global winners of tomorrow.
