We’ve been exploring the integral role of race, ethnicity, and gender in designing and implementing effective and equitable social change strategies regardless of topic area; be it cradle to career education work, workforce development efforts, or youth economic outcome and community health initiatives. From addressing power dynamics to the use of data, many organizations and institutions in the social change sector are integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion into their work. In the coming weeks, we’ll share questions on weaving DEI into philanthropic work to open a public conversation and learn from each other’s successes and challenges.
