RE: Fired Federal Workers
Text:
Dear (US Senator or US House Representative),
I am an Oregon constituent and have been since 2005. I was an Air Force brat growing up, and have lived all over the United States since, and in Puerto Rico and old West Germany under Air Force auspices. I have lived in Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Ohio, New York, and Oregon. I love this country and the Declaration of Independence for which it stands.
At this time, our Washington Administration is firing massive numbers of Federal workers in all fields. Next on the firing docket is the Federal Reserve.
Bipartisanship used to be the order of the day in these United States. Now, it is anathema to the authoritarian regime that is running this country into the ground.
As a member of the US Senate, I ask that you and your likeminded legislators support and initiate the hiring of as many of these fired Federal workers as the great State of Oregon is able to do. Your words will carry weight with state Legislators and businesses who are in the position to hire these fired workers. Oregon will benefit financially and otherwise if these fine folks relocate from wherever they are to this great State. These people do have many skills needed all over this country and in Oregon. We can reach out to them and invite them in as employees, voters, and consumers. Again, your words carry weight. I urge you to use them.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Respectfully,
Teresa D. Hawkes, Ph.D.
