Big news — we’re cutting our emissions starting this EPOCH, poised to positively impact the overall system. We’ve determined that reducing inflation levels is key to promoting balance in our deployment on the base.

How Much Are We Reducing Emissions This EPOCH?

From the EPOCH starting on the 16th of November at 00:00 UTC, emissions will be slashed by 30%, leading to a significant cut in the initially programmed inflation levels. Below in the graph, we’ve outlined the current emissions and the effects of the new schedule.

The Balance of the System

The balance of our system is paramount. The ability to cut inflation so markedly rewards investors and ensures that people have the opportunity to gain a larger share of the protocol while preserving its longevity.

The immediate reduction in emissions will prevent 3,444,627 veSCALE from being released over the next 52 weeks. From next EPOCH the emissions rate will be 250,000 SCALE continuing with the 2% decay each EPOCH.
