Having participated in more than 5 Erasmus+ Projects, I must admit that this was one of the best. Travelling from Thessaloniki, Greece all the way to Budapest, the capital of Hungary and from there taking a train to Debrecen was really an amazing trip. Luckily for me, as I tend to get stressed out really badly while traveling by public transport in another country, I had as a company one more Greek participant. The Training Course’s name was “Act it out” and was happening from the 24th of September and lasted till the 3rd of October 2023. We were 4 participants from each country, Greece, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Romania, Germany, Hungary and Spain.

Reaching the venue of the Project was really tiring but at the end of the day, it was all worth it. We stayed in the dormitory while having as our neighbors other students from the university of Debrecen. This gave us the opportunity to get to know more about the locals’ life, how was life as a university student from another country like. The training courses took place in a wonderful place, where we spent most of our time there. From having breakfast there to having all the activities there and the dinner, we spent most of our days analyzing and getting more into the topic day by day. From day one we started with the purpose of the topic and the importance of it among the youth especially. Going through the days by daily workshops on things such as Image theater, Newspaper theater and the best part, organizing our very own theater with scenes, we understood the importance of the youth workers tackling social problems like bullying, oppression, discrimination, racism, sexism and sexual abuse and how through any kinds of art, just like theater you can accomplish the best way to get these situations into the public.

What I am most personally grateful for participating in this particular Project, was the people I got to meet and cooperate with throughout the days of the project. I had an amazing time with each and every person differently. From having long talks together, to partying like it’s the last day we will ever be together, I met some really amazing and kind people that I’ll be definitely keeping a close touch with and definitely planning on meeting up again after the end of the Project. And that’s exactly why I believe the Erasmus+ Projects are amazing. You get to meet new people, get out of your comfort zone, expand your information on topics that you may have thought in the past were not important, get into different ways of learning and cooperating with people from different social backgrounds. But by the end of the day, we all share the same craziness, the same passion for traveling, the same passion for cooperating in order to reach and accomplish the Project’s aims and goals, and that is really the most important thing about those Projects. Till we meet again!!!
