India: an experience like no other!

Participating in the STOP Erasmus+ project in Aurangabad India was a truly remarkable experience. Starting from Athens I travelled more than 24 hours to reach a country that can’t be compared to any other! First, I stayed with an Indian family that was truly hospitable and all the neighbours wanted to meet me because being a foreigner in India is so unique for them. Everywhere I went they would ask to take pictures with me, I felt like a celebrity!

When I met with the rest of the Greek team, we explored many places and other cities. I spent Christmas day on a cruise on the sea in Mumbai while it was 30 degrees!

Eating on the floor with our hands, seeing cows on the road, monkeys, camels were some things I actually miss because life was so fun there! Food was definitely a challenge for me because I can’t handle spicy food but somehow, not only I started to get used to it but I loved it!

Driving around Indian streets with Tuk-Tuk was an adventure on its own! Especially when we had to get to the airport in such a small vehicle, we managed to fit 6 people with our luggage and the driver! Don’t ask me how.

India is such a colourful, vibrant and amazing country that made my Erasmus+ experience unforgettable!
