While I was going on board to travel to Romania, Bucharest first and then to Gura Humorului, where the Erasmus+ Training Course took place, I was worrying whether my decision to visit this country and especially, to attend my courses in a small town would be a good idea. My worries and my insecure thoughts about my choice disappeared immediately when I arrived in this country!

The Bucharest, although I spent a few hours there was amazing with its amazing architecture and the big parks and squares combined with some nice cultural museums but the stunning surprise of my trip was my arrival to Gura Humorului.

Bucharest Parks

We are talking about a small town but this town because of the magnificent nature and with the small mountains around has a lot of visitors mostly from Romania because it is not so famous internationally.

The houses were very beautiful and unique, with their traditional style that always reminds you that you are close to the mountains. The Romanian food was also very interesting! Some delicious soups were always the first dish to start your meal and of course, the soups were served with a hot pepper next to it.

We had a trip activity to the mountains as well and so we had the chance to experience the wild nature of the Romanian mountains and to share this experience with our new international friends!

At the end, I would describe Romania as an unexpected surprise, in which I couldn’t imagine seeing, meeting, eating and trying all these new things! It was a very nice and different trip with a lot of unexpected moments and lovely experiences!
