Announcing The ERC dEX Public Beta!
Dear ERC dEX Community,
The time has finally come — as of today, January 23rd, 2018, we are opening our beta to the public! We are humbled and thrilled, but most of all, thankful for the community support and collaboration along the way. We especially want to thank the 0x Project team, who are simply exceptional. We also want to thank our competition (you know who they are), for keeping things interesting!
The platform has undergone weeks of private beta testing on the main Ethereum network with over 400 beta testers. We’re excited to share the platform with the public and expand token trading to meet the needs of the growing Ethereum ecosystem. Our technology is more important than ever because centralized and legacy decentralized exchanges have now been hacked for billions of dollars in total, while interest and daily trade volume in ERC20 tokens is skyrocketing.
ERC dEX’s hybrid trading platform is more secure than a traditional centralized exchange because we don’t hold any user assets, and the experience is more user-friendly than its fully-decentralized, blockchain-only counterparts because the platform doesn’t suffer from the same race conditions or manipulation vulnerabilities. Our first-in-class technology is built for newcomers and crypto-experts alike, who tell us that the best part about ERC dEX is that users don’t need to create an account or endure any deposit or withdrawal fees or delays. From now on, traders can control the security of their own assets with ERC dEX and enjoy the convenience of trading directly from their own MetaMask, Parity, Mist, or other desktop software wallets, their Ledger Nano S hardware wallet, or their mobile wallet in the Cipher web browser. Advanced charting capabilities, an intuitive order book, and user-centric design make it a breeze to trade the 35 token pairs we are initially listing in English, Spanish, Chinese, or Russian (with more languages to be added soon!) Algorithmic traders and bot builders can take advantage of Aqueduct, our JavaScript SDK and Websocket client NPM package. As we outlined in our company introduction, our roadmap is aggressive but exciting and includes building out advanced trading products like trustless short-selling, lending, futures contracts, and much more.
ERC dEX is a distributed team of technologists, financial industry vets, creatives, and crypto-enthusiasts that’s headquartered in Austin, Texas. We’re an agile, yet growing team. We started our mission in September of 2017 to solve many of the big problems centralized exchanges have and re-introduce the decentralized ideology the blockchain community was founded on.
