Mark Begert is a seasoned entrepreneur with a strong background in finance. Mark has started companies and taken them public, raising capital in the U.S. and abroad. He specializes in early and growth stage challenges: business model definition, capital raising, go to market strategy, partnership development, and corporate transactions. Mark has led the growth and sophistication of investor-backed companies in the technology, energy, and consumer sectors, raising more than $100 million in angel, venture, and public equity for three companies.
Martine Niejadlik served as the inaugural Chief Compliance Officer at Coinbase, and will be helping us navigate our own compliance challenges. Martine’s professional career spans eBay, PayPal, Amazon, and Fair Isaac, where she held various positions related to compliance and risk management. Notably, she was one of the lead developers of the FICO credit score. Martine has played a key role of two additional startups — the first, accept.com, was acquired by Amazon, and the second, BOKU, went public. Martine is also currently advising Elliptic and Long Game.
Dave Lauer is regarded as a market structure expert, with recent work focusing on big data analytics in financial services. Dave works primarily with institutional asset managers, helping them optimize order routing decisions and fulfill best execution obligations. He also works with market centers and broker/dealers, including sitting on the Aequitas NEO Board of Directors, and on FINRA’s Market Regulation Committee. Dave also founded a non-profit to promote fair markets, and has testified in front of the SEC, CFTC, OSC, and the Senate Banking Committee. It’s fair to say, Dave knows trading (including the high-frequency space) intimately.
At this time, we would additionally like to announce our acceptance into the Capital Factory Accelerator program in Austin, TX.
