After 3 months of releasing Ergonode 1.0.0, we got a massive response and a lot of feedback, which we strive to fullfill.

Based on that, and reading between the lines we focused on delivering bug fixes and most needed features:

  • Products Relations attribute type
  • new, redesigned Workflow

So what do those features do?

The need behind product relations attribute is simple: to be able to create relations between products and reflect them in your e-commerce shop. Either it is an upselling of a more advanced product or it can be just pointing a customer to a corresponding product with similar features. It can be both shown on the product page in your shop, or it can be used only internally to see what relations between products are.

How do you create this attribute? The same way as other attributes, just choose the type “Product relations”:

On your product template you can design it with a widget to make it more visible as you see on an example here:

The attribute looks very similar to the gallery attribute as we think it’s better to represent it more visually so the user would have both visual and informative aspects of the relations between products.

Next feature that we focused on is our redesigned Workflow. Based on the feedback that the current one was hard to understand at first, we took it to the next level and with our UX experts re-thought and re-designed the whole part. Take a look:

Instead of the previous list of statuses and a list of transitions, we merged everything into one view, so the user while creating statuses can also focus on the transitions within the same context.
With this new design in mind we are able to present more complex workflows without confusing the user. We can see where each stage starts and ends, and are able to modify it — everything in one place.

Apart from those two new features we have solved couple of more bugs. You can see the full change log below:
