Organize and manage your multimedia faster in the new Ergonode 1.2.0 release

We all have heard the old cliché that a picture is worth a thousand words many times. Another says we eat with our eyes first. Every seller and every marketer knows that. Assuming that images sell as much as words and relevant descriptions, is not an exaggeration. Quality photos improve customer experience. They can be very persuasive and give “the feeling”.

It’s obvious that e-commerce cannot exist without multimedia. Being able to manage them within a product management process is as important as product management itself.

Ergonode has been created to help e-commerce people manage their product information better, quicker, and more efficiently. We understand how frustrating it becomes when you reach the point of having thousands of products and even more images. They are all in different places and with strange file names saying absolutely nothing to anyone.

No more mess and looking for a needle in a haystack

So far when a user wanted to find an image, they had to know the exact file name to be able to search for it.

For example, they knew they had this nice black dress on spring promotion. If they wanted to use the image again to show some styling options, there was no way to find it other than knowing the file name. It was not a problem as long as they had a maximum of 100 products. However, we all know it’s not the case.

It was the same when they were working on product cards. Trying to find a single image was possible only when they knew the file name. Again, searching thousands of images could be a nightmare.

The new release solves those problems in a very simple and logical way.

What’s new?

Folders and catalogs for multimedia

We have introduced folders and catalogs. As simple as that! The user can create as many of those as they need and also manage them in any required way.

We have also enabled mass operations on folders. Now, it is possible to move any amount of images from one folder to another. They can be sorted and moved in a very easy way, saving time and frustration to the user.

Folders are available in the cloud version of Ergonode.

Import and export to CSV

Another feature that is very helpful regarding images management, is the possibility of importing and exporting multiple images as links to CSV files. They can also be assigned to particular products and attributes and after that, be imported into Ergonode.

This option is available for everyone, both open source, and cloud users.
