2020: Halfway Through
It’s been 6 months through 2020 already — everything that could have possibly gone wrong in the world has done so. You can see memes on this here. However, our amazing team has done a great job (from their homes of course!) and today we’re excited to share a few insights on our performance.

For the past several months we have been beta testing and developing (back and forth) the multiplayer feature that enables competitions on Dare App. The good news is: we’re finally at the finish line! We’re beyond excited, as this one is a game changer, so please stay tuned for the launch.
Another thing that we’re excited about is the listing of $ERT token on Uniswap platform. In short, you can add you ERT to the pool and make passive income without selling a single ERT token. Learn more about the opportunity here.
And last but not least: we’re excited to bring you another weekly update! As you can see — a lot of excitement today, so without no further ado let’s get straight to the update 😊

🎉 EMAIL: CHALLENGE COMPLETED
As we reported a few weeks ago we started adding an additional layer of communication with users after their victory. We decided to use the e-mail as an effective channel. We prepared two different e-mails depending on the type of a challenge.
👥 MULTIPLAYER: SOON ON YOUR ANDROID DEVICE
Good news! We are glad to share some progress of the Multiplayer with you. The team is going to dive into yet another testing process. Next week we will conduct the full testing of the whole app functionality. We worked a lot on this and can’t wait for you guys to check this feature!
🎞 ANIMATION FOR LIKES AND VOTES
We’re following up on the subject of animation when users leave likes or votes for a challenge. Current version has a white color of the bubble with a certain amount of points, right? This time we are going to compare white color and red color. We have a hypothesis that users simply can’t notice this animation because of the color 🤷♂️
🌄 NEW SCREENSHOTS FOR STORES
We have done with new screenshots for App Store! It was hard but it’s worth it. They will be available for all users in the upcoming release.
📲 NOTIFICATIONS & VIEWS
As we mentioned before, we are going to test the hypothesis that notification with information on video views amount can impact retention and engagement.
We have 2 types of notifications:
— a user receives a notification for every view of his video
— a user receives 1 notification per every 10 views
What are we doing next?
⏱ TIME TO TAKE THE FIRST CHALLENGE
We constantly check on how exactly do users take challenges. What makes them do that? After which action specifically? Our next hypothesis is aimed on user experience in the Home Feed. We want to test a pop-up with an offer to take a challenge after 3 watched videos. We suppose it will increase the amount of taken challenges significantly.
☝️ HOME FEED OF THE FIRST SESSION
We have prepared the content for the Home Feed that will occur only during the very first session. Next week the team will develop the conditions for this feed. Also we will come up with the logic for randomizing these videos. The key difference of this feed is that videos disappear after a user has watched them.
💎 EXCLUSIVE CONTENT: CUSTOMIZING
We will start to develop a new algorithm for Exclusive Content sorting. The new version will focus on user experience with exclusive challenges. It means that a user will see exclusive challenges depending on their views and other purchases.
😎 CONDITIONAL PUSH NOTIFICATIONS
We continue to work on different notifications. Next step for us is organizing the schedule for these. We will make segments and special offers for the each group. It’s very challenging but great!
