Growth Comes From a Better UX
Our week has been super productive and stressful at the same time (hello AppStore). One of the key takeaways of this week is that growth extremely depends on user interface and consequently user experience. This is why we spend so much time on experimenting with pop-ups, buttons, A/B tests and other hypotheses. Also this is a defining factor of our 4x metric growth since the beginning of 2020. Kudos to our amazing team!
Let’s get straight to this week’s update, shall we?
Here’s why this week was exciting:
💸 WITHDRAW iOS DESIGN
A few weeks ago we tested new designs for withdraw screens. These screens have become much more user-friendly: they use different colors, they feel more trustable and contrast. Also we’ve added icons with secure payment and personal support to ensure that every user request will be taken care of.
⏱ iOS REVIEW IN THE APP STORE
We got another reject for our last version on iOS. We fixed all issues and now we are waiting for approval from the App Store. This situation upsets our team and our users because they can’t take challenges on the Dare App: the main feature has a terrible bug which ruins all the experience.
UPD: it was released! Kudos!💪
🎉 ERISTICA.COM 5.0
We are glad to tell you about our brand new design of the https://eristica.com website, that should not be confused with the name of the app. It contains all the important information about the Eristica company including our partners and contact channels. The information about the Dare App is on a separate page which can be accessed via this link: https://dareapp.org.
🌄 WEB VERSION OF THE CHALLENGE CARD
As we reported in the previous update we started working with the web page of the Challenge Card. Our team finished the design concept. There are new features:
— the outlined reward
— voting feature
What are we doing next?
🤳 CONTACT SUPPORT FORM
We analysed how often do our users ask different questions using the feedback form on the profile page and how often it turns out to be a dialogue between us. It would be much more convenient for them if they get an answer inside the Dare App. That’s the reason behind building this feature, and our team has already started making concepts and working on mechanics.
💪 MOTIVATION IF CHALLENGE FAILED
Our latest test with congrats screens after the challenge was completed showed that only 20% of users complete their challenges. It means that we should make something to increase the completion rate in order to increase the user satisfaction rate. We decided to start communicating with users who couldn’t complete a challenge. We will show them a screen with a motivational message. Our team already works on the design.
🗣 LIVE VOTING TEST ICON
We are keeping our sharp focus on the voting process because its the important action when our users do challenges. So we assume that changing our icon where users can vote for videos from New to Live voting will make an impact for the amount of users who vote. Also we are adding a counter to this icon because it’s a well-known trigger for tapping on the button.
🔜 PROGRESS BAR FOR POINTS
We also keep focusing on interactions between our users and the Dare App. So we decided to test a hypothesis with animating certain action to make the UX more fun: likes, votes, upload video and others. They will see how these actions impact their points balance and their position on the Leaderboard. Just an example: imagine a circle filling up with the color while users keep going to tap like, vote etc. It’s gonna be beautiful.
