Next Up: Multiplayer Challenges

🚀 MULTIPLAYER. THIS IS THE WAY
We are so thrilled to announce it! Multiplayer Challenges are going to be available for all user in the next release! That’s a great opportunity to recall how does this feature work and why it took us a while to bring it to life.
Multiplayer Challenges bring the new meaning to the Dare App. Unlike Single-player challenges, users can join the very same challenge and become a part of a great competition. Prior to joining a challenge users won’t be able to see other users’ videos – you need to upload your own first. This feature guarantees that all participants have equal chances to get the Best Video Award which is formed from the pool of the entrance fees that participants put in.
Another important moment. A challenge can’t start if the min participants requirement is not met. Thus if you join a challenge but it doesn’t launch (meaning that there are less committed participants than needed) your entrance fee would be credited back to your account.
Psyched? So are we!👀
🌄 A BRAND NEW SIGN UP SCREEN
As we mentioned a few weeks earlier the sign up screen with bloggers’ photos had a positive impact. Thus, we made it on Android too. It’s already available for everyone and we will compare the results after a testing week.
💶 USERS’ REWARDS. LIVE. THE POWER OF TRUST
Amazing. Unbelievable. Terrific. We don’t know other words to describe how the badge with users’ reward streamed online boosted all the metrics. It was placed in the Home Feed but we want to test it on the Open Challenges screen too. And we will. Will keep you updated on the results of the second test.
🌟 GOLD FOR «LIKE» and «VOTE»
This week was super successful in terms of great AB tests. And here’s yet another great one! We had a hypothesis about the Gold Exchange feature. We assumed Gold for “like” and “vote” could work with the Gold Exchange. We were right. It works. Users started to like and vote more often than before the release of the feature. And also they like animation. Good news for our designers and developers 👋 In the upcoming releases we will improve the experience with Gold for our users.

🔐 SECRET CONTENT. NEXT STEPS
We reported about the test that locks some screens in the Dare App. We focused on increasing the rate of taken challenges. And this hypothesis was correct in these terms. Sadly we realized that other metrics suffer badly from this feature, so our development principles require this feature to be removed. Precisely it means we should change the message and try again. Next week we will think about new conditions and the copies.
🎞 FULLSCREEN VIDEO
One of the most popular things in 2020 is watching video content. That’s why we are starting to work on upgrading our video player. It will be something new and bring a fresh video viewing experience. We have enough good references and we will try to make it even better.
🔝 iOS. RATE US
Collecting feedback inside the App is a good idea. This feature has been operationg for a few months on Android, and we can be confident in the long-term effect. So next week we will start building this feature for iOS.
🆕 iOS. GOLD FOR «LIKE» AND «VOTE»
As we mentioned above this feature has a great impact on users’ behaviour. It means we should make it on iOS as well. Next week out team will start to work on its transfer to iOS.
