Tweaking Makes Perfect
Hello there! In this update we’ll share some insights re new features we rolled out recently. Also we’ve been doing some A/B testing. In general we’re still focusing on delivering the best challenge service to our customers. But you already know that, just thought to circle it around a bit. Anyways, here’s the weekly update. Enjoy!
Here is what we have been up to this week:
🙃 MULTIPLAYER. WARM WELCOME
We are glad to report that users are excited to play with multiplayer challenges! This whole week we are watching what kind of challenges appear more interesting as a competition. We changed the conditions for starting the multiplayer challenge too by the way. It launches when 3 participants have committed to upload a video, not 5 like it was a week before. It will allow us to measure the results more quickly.
🎞 FULLSCREEN VIDEO
We have finished with the development for videos. Next step is to make a design for other cards such as Exclusive Challenges, Open Challenge, Live Voting and Multiplayer Challenge of course.
🆒 MULTIPLAYER. “NEW” FEED
We are watching how users are taking multiplayer challenges and want to support them. We changes the algorithm in the New Feed. Multiplayer videos got more weight in the comparison with the single player videos. We need this changes because Multiplayer challenges are launching fast and users should see them on the top when it comes to voting.
💶 GREETING GAME COIN. UP&UP
After this week’s AB test we got some data about users’ behaviour after receiving the 1-game-coin-gift. Judging by their activity it’s really a motivating feature. That’s why we decided to increase the amount we’re giving away to our users (the Challenge Fund was made for that reason!). We will share the results next week.
Next up:
☝️ MULTIPLAYER. BUG FIXES
We are watching how users are taking the multiplayer challenges and we have found some bugs. Sad but inevitable. Don’t worry tho, we will fix it in the next release. Also we are doing the release right now while I’m writing this. It’s very cool that users demonstrate such level of the curiosity to the new feature.
🌟 iOS. GOLD FOR «LIKE» and «VOTE»
We have finished with the bringing this feature to iOS. Next week we will start working on development and testing this feature.
🌄 A BRAND NEW SIGN UP SCREEN
We reported about the A/B test of the new registration screen. It’s almost finished. We will get results in a few days. And the next step for this feature is the new test where we will add some media quotes about the Dare App. We have many positive feedbacks and testimonials from different media resources. It will be awesome to share those with our users.
🖼 CONCEPT FOR PROOF EXAMPLE
As we mentioned above we are working on the fullscreen version of the Home Feed. One of the card types that users interact with is an Open Challenge Card. So we have an idea to add proof examples to the challenge description so users would not only understand the task verbally but also visually. Next week our team will be working on the concept and the design.
