On a bright New York sidewalk near Elizabeth St. our chairman casually explains to a collector how to participate in the “Community Art” aspect of The Ancient Hardware. The collector was able to participate in the stealth launch just barely missing the deadline to make a post in order to receive the airdrop on Opensea.
It went to the hidden section of his profile ( a security measure) so he was a bit flustered and even double checked to make sure it had actually been delivered. But there it was! He had finally gotten a mint pass — he knew the Reveal Party wouldn’t be until November 9th but a resounding question stuck in his mind, what do I do with this?
How will I be able to reveal my mystic? How do I play The Ancient Hardware and start earning NFTs and crypto? How do I start selling my items on the Goblin Salvage Repo?
So, let us explain.
Before we even get into how to play — what is The Ancient Hardware? Why is this game out all of a sudden? Well here’s the story so far.
What is the Ancient Hardware?
The Ancient Hardware is a community-driven, play-to-earn roleplaying game on the metaverse with an emphasis on a loot economy, creator rewards, derivatives, IRL events, asset-backed incentives and humanitarian efforts. The 10000 initial NFTs created will serve as membership tickets, our algorithm determines pricing and what loot is allocated to each character’s stash — through this list each character will be able to participate in item specific events, collect rewards for holding, access events in real life and recieve more NFTs. Our mission started when we identified a problem we wanted to solve in the creator industry — for too long have artists from humble beginnings had to adhere to strenuous financial conditions while trying to establish themselves. Our goal is to create a community driven system that pays artists for establishing a network of collaboration, discourse on and establish fair value all while create an exquisite corpse around our system which pays them for participating.

Games with tokenized assets are the standard of NFT culture. Some relevant projects being , Gods Unchained Cards, each card is an Non-Fungible Token that can be exchanged on blockchain, in Axie Infinity Pets where myriad people vie for scholarships. In their community each pet may be bred, taught, and used against rivals in their metaverse game. As the market cap of these projects rise so thus does the wealth of the people involved.
Some of these items created by GENs artists using AI to create PFP NFTs have fetched tens of thousands of dollars because of the loyal and dedicated communities that have come together to enjoy the game as well as the creator economy. Some people even go as far as to vote, form their own groups within the community.
The most costly Axie ever, a triple mystic called Angel, sold for 300 ETH in late 2020. A transaction netting $130,000 back then worth $1,245,525.00 now.
For a variety of reasons, people purchase NFTs. People love to gather uncommon digital objects to display their achievements and express themselves in the digital world. Just take a look at the billion-dollar Fortnite skins industry.

You will be able to earn a percentage for selling merch. You will be able to promote your music and gain a percentage by creating sountracks for characters. You will have to access to IRL events and can vote and be voted up as someone in the community that will participate. FAIR MINT
Mint Passes — Being early observers of the NFT space we noticed early how important it is to ensure distribution of tokens is fair enough that enough art is available for everyone during launch. We adopt the (SL) model which utilizes mint tickets that serve as registrations that entitle the holder to the right to an avatar when it spawns. This avatar is theirs and will spawn in the hidden section of their Opensea profile. This is done for security and to guard against market manipulation. So effectually in order to mint a TAH-NFT one must buy a ticket like everyone else.
Quests — Players must participate in the discord channel main-quest and in order to start their quest execute the command “start!” — after confirming which of their avatars they’d like to use (they will be sent an image of the map and a list of objectives) the a map and premise will be sent to the public chat. to start the quest. As the collector sends the command “roll!” the quest will randomly progress. The avatar will add to their spoils as the quest progresses but more specific puzzles may arise where the collector will have to make decisions that make or break the character’s quest progression. If the collector wins they get to keep all the items they won as well as whatever the objective of the quest is to sell on the Goblin Salvage Repo or keep it as a trophy. If they lose all they get is a skeleton.
Goblin Salvage Repo — Avatar Holders come here to sell forged & found items. Avatars may send their caravan advisors to sell items in this bustling underground Bazaar. The community decides what the best price is and with speculation comes opportunity. How many avatars a holder has determines the weight of their vote on issues having to do with the economic ecosystem of the kingdom. Musical items with exclusive soundtracks can be purchased here as well as asset-backed NFTs and NFTs with physical counterparts. After verified holders may use this market however they see fit for their party within realms of the lore.
Lore — As lovers of Hip-Hop much of the art style is derived from Graffiti characters We’d see on passing trains growing up. As lovers of D&D we chose to pull our inspiration from a mixture of their literature, Alexander Pushkin’s poems and the literature of Liliane Nerette Louis. Our lore is derived from the perfect symbiosis of all these themes packaged in the TAH-NFT signature art style.

So, How do I play?
1.
Hold a TAH (SL) Mint Pass or purchase a TAH Avatar outright. Be sure to purchase a soul for your character if less souls are available than characters (because then theres no way your characteristic could be soulless). ???Avatars with no souls will not spawn.

Once you have a soul your revealed Mystic will show up in your OpenSea profile.
This avatar may or may not have “Spoils” if they do they can mint a Goblin Caravan Advisor to sell those items in the Goblin Salvage Repo and contribute to the creator economy. These items will fluctuate in price and be only as rare as the rate they are found in.

Additional ways to obtain spoils is by questing in the “main-quest” channel of Discord. A glass orb is necessary for questing but after minting that an avatar is able to add loot packs as much as they’d like to play. If a character wins the quest they win everything they find during the quest as well as an NFT of the map they were in. If they lose all they receive is a skeleton NFT commensurate to how they died. For more passive NFT collection the collector may opt for just purchasing a Goblin Caravan Advisor to bring back random loot packs.
