Artful in Quarantine: Musical Vibrations and Connections!
Act II of our Artful in Quarantine playshop series was a resounding hit!
Be it spring morning in Denver, balmy evening in London, or starry night in Tokyo, the sun shone bright outside the windows, on patios and balconies, and in everyone’s hearts, as we huddled in the harmonic world of notes and sound on Saturday.
Frank Kilpatrick and Rayko Takahashi masterfully orchestrated Act II of Artful in Quarantine, leading people on a musical voyage through time and cultures, towards hope, love, opportunities, happiness, the Universe and light.
We shared memories, traded favourites, swang, rocked, chanted, and sang along, sometimes with moist eyes, sometimes with big smileys. Even our four-legged friends joined the rollicking vibrations!
Here’s what a few guests had to say:
“The positivity in this session is just what I needed.” — A. Hodzic
“So many pieces are composed to create beauty out of pain, which is very healing.” — J. Balén
“The Liszt song with the poem brought me right back to my wife’s grave. Then the happy songs turned me back to smile. Amazing the power of songs!” — D. Boldt
“Amazing work!! Grateful for this!” — K. Fearless
“I’m grateful to you all for creating this space. It’s so important to connect over positivity. Gratitude and love are the antidote to the Cheeto-in-Chief!” — Dr. S. Morris
Thank you again to those who joined us for those two precious hours of grooving and connecting.
THANK YOU in particular to those who have donated to our partner organizations’ COVID-19 relief efforts! For those who plan to but are yet to donate, there is opportunity to do so for a couple more days.
“Act III: Coming to Our Senses Through Visual Art” is coming up this Saturday, May 2! It will be led by Linda Naiman, creativity coach, corporate alchemist, artist and designer.
Get ready for a visual adventure and vision quest!
