The final round of ticket sales for the XII European Sauna Marathon in south Estonia will go on sale tomorrow February 14 at 10am online at Piletikeskus.

As with previous competitions, any tickets that go on sale tend to sell out very fast so do be quick if you are keen to take part.

The European Sauna Marathon is a fun, annual orienteering game between saunas taking place on February 17–18 in Otepää and Tõrva. You have to visit all the saunas on the map, spending at least 3 minutes in each hot room, as well as jumping in ice holes and hot tubs along the way.

The aim is to celebrate sauna culture and help more people discover the wide range of saunas across the region.

Each team consists of four members, one of whom needs to drive a car. The main prize is a hot tub from Lemmik Mees OÜ and there’s a range of fun prizes, including for best costumes. The saunas are also competing for their own prestigous titles awarded through voting from everyone who completes the course.

The XII European Sauna Marathon in Otepää is organized by Otepää municipality, Tõrva municipality, Otepää Cultural Centers, sauna owners and their committee, as well as plenty of sauna loving volunteers. The cooperation partners are winter radio Sky Plus, Tõrva Veemõnula, Kanal 2 — Reporter, Aasta Auto — Škoda representative office in Tartu, and EstonianSaunas.com (that’s us).
