We usually love competing in the European Sauna Marathon, a bizarre sporting event that takes place every year in the winter capital of Estonia, Otepää.

This year though, we took our own sauna and hosted one of the sauna stops on the course. Our new sauna is the ZiL-131 SAUN, an old Soviet Army truck that was left behind in Estonia after the occupation and then converted into a cosy sauna.

We are currently crowdfunding through Hooandja (it’s like an Estonian version of Kickstarter) to renovate the truck with more Estonian design and open it up to visitors in Tallinn. The sauna marathon was not just lots of fun, but also useful for gathering feedback on how we can improve our new sauna.

You can watch how it went here:

Anni and Adam
