Aunt Flow. Little Monthly Visitor. Leak Week. Riding the Crimson Tide. . .a period by any other name still sucks, and stinks, and hurts.

Menstruation, for bad or for worse, is the common denominator among Cis-women between 20 and 50 years old, regardless of race or origin. But it’s not just the periods — it’s all they represent: cramps, fatigue, pain, cravings, and moodiness. Once again, marijuana, a cure as old as periods, offers relief to this monthly challenge of ours.

Award-winning actress Whoopi Goldberg has partnered with renowned edible creator Maya Elizabeth to bring a cannabis-based menstrual solution. Not only are these CBD and THC concoctions, but they are relaxing experiences and opportunities to pamper yourself, AND, they are affordable, so that poor women get help, too.

I don’t think I’m alone in feeling ugly during my periods. Whoopi and Maya’s “rub.” allows women to feel sensual and soft, not just bloated and cranky. Our frayed menstrual nerves can be soothed with “soak.”, a cannabis and lavender bath soak and it doesn’t stop there.

“Savor.” is a CBD-based raw cacao powder which can be added to warm milk to make a decadent and soothing drink. Maybe you just deal with cramps, though cramps are PLENTY on their own — Whoopie and Maya’s line offers tinctures that can be added to any liquid to bring quick relief to the gnawing abdominal pain which plagues many of us.

Whoopi and Maya have thought of it all. Their line helps women overcome the monthly pain, rise above the feelings of ugliness, feeds the chocolate cravings, and provides an opportunity to soothe our nerves. Gone are the days women hide their menses, and gone are the days we simply endure the “woman’s curse.” It is a great era to be a woman, and marijuana is granting many females, beset by painful or heavy periods, the freedom to enjoy every day in our month! Whoopi, always class conscious, made the price point attractive, as well!

Bad news: They are only sold in California. But, as marijuana prohibition is being overturned in many states, females all over the US should have relief soon.
