The Ethereum Classic network is climbing in adoption for the Agharta hard-fork finally surpassing more than 51% of individual network nodes that are ready for Agharta. Ethermine, Nanopool, 2miners, F2Pool, MiningPoolHub, and many more miners have confirmed their support for Agharta which ensures the vast majority of the mining is confirmed for the hard-fork.

A significant amount of Geth-Classic clients are not ready for the hard-fork. Since Agharta will be the last hard-fork supported by Geth-Classic and will reach END-of-LIFE, it’s important that Geth-Classic users make the switch to Multi-Geth, Parity Ethereum, or Hyperledger Besu now than later.

🛑For Geth-Classic users: Geth-Classic used to be in the ethereumproject/go-ethereumGithub org. However, this org has been archived. If you need the latest 6.1.2-stable Geth-Classic release that has Agharta support, then visit https://github.com/etclabscore/go-ethereum/releases, but migrate off Geth-Classic to the other options mentioned above as soon as possible.

  • Agharta is an accepted hard-fork documented in ECIP-1056
  • The hard-fork dashboard can be located here.
