I cracked the window a little so I could listen to the rainfall.
It was one of those cold, wet, dreary spring nights.
The kind perfect for red wine, a long movie, and very little clothing.

After a brief clean, I had changed the sheets, lit the candles, and dimmed the lights.

Sitting on the couch, I sifted through my phone hoping for something.
Any kind of recognition.
I knew that she knew.

We liked the sound of the rain.
That we shared.

I opened the window a little more, and poured my wine.
And waited.

And waited.

For her.
