Salut les copains, we have a HUGE announcement to make…

As you may (or may not) have noticed, the DoD is expanding beyond organising ETHBerlin. We couldn’t be more excited about announcing our next collaboration which will be with our friends, and straight after our favourite Ethereum community conference of the year, EthCC, in one of our favourite cities in Europe, Paris!

From the organisers of EthCC (the best conference to grace our community) and ETHBerlin (the best hackathon to exist) we are thrilled to announce ETHParis 2020!

Mais oui, after you all flock to Paris for EthCC (3–5 March) and absorb all their great content, you’ll need to stay in the city of lights just a little bit longer. Get ready to experience this beautiful city once again, and stuff your face with macarons for a few more days because we are organising the hackathon to follow the conference, along with support from our friends at Ethereum France, and we are inviting you all to join.

We will be taking over ESGI, the “Ecole Supérieure de Génie Informatique”, and we want you to join us to help us build tools and projects that will help advance our ecosystem. The way we design our events also allows hackers to unleash their creativity and think out of the box to solve current problems that are slowing us down as a community. And as always we won’t fail to disappoint. Expect there to be more than just your bog-standard 36 hours of hacking, because the DoD doesn’t just stick to the norm.

(We cannot confirm nor deny that we’re reaching out to burlesque dancers and cheese manufacturers to design some sort of far fetched performance — or something ridiculous of this calibre).

Now for the nitty-gritty. Attendance is free but as you all know the funding has to come from somewhere. Therefore, we are reaching out to you all, as a community, to hit us up if this is an event you would like to support. Every penny/ETH/shitcoin matter, and goes straight to funding this event.

So that’s it for now, more to follow, so you can mark your diaries for 6–8 March 2020 and stay tuned for more details about the event, how to apply to hack, or how to get involved in other ways.
