For general information about EthCC[6], head over to our conference announcement post.

EthCC is back and bigger than ever!

This event is always centred around one thing: our amazing community. Which is why we want to offer you a variety of ways to join us in Paris this July.

What exactly does this mean for you? Let’s dive into the nuts and bolts of EthCC[6] ticketing:

General overview

Ticketing will be done through Weezevent this year, and the vast majority of tickets will be reserved for general attendees.

You can see a full breakdown of ticket allotment below, but in sum, general attendee tickets will make up about 2500 out of the 4000 total attendees at EthCC[6].

Now, we can probably guess what your next question will be…

Can we pay in crypto? Sort of.

We want to give you the opportunity to pay for your EthCC[6] ticket with cryptocurrency. However, please keep in mind that the process will be a little different this year and the number of tickets available in this category are limited.

So, how will it work? We’re currently developing a process to sell ~300 general attendee tickets via an auction raffle, which will give you the option to pay in crypto.

Just like DevCon’s raffle strategy, you can place a bid on a conference ticket. At the end of the auction, the 10 highest bidders automatically purchase a guaranteed ticket, while the remaining bidders will be reimbursed and then added to the raffle. From there, it comes down to random luck.

We will have more details soon on this process, but please do keep in mind that the most direct and widely available tickets will be purchased with fiat money this year — so get those bank accounts ready just in case!

Transparency on tickets

We want to be as transparent as possible when it comes to our ticketing process, as it’s important for us to keep a balance between steady growth and a high-quality environment — after all, it’s what the community deserves 😇

Below is a simple breakdown of the different categories for 4-day conference tickets — as you can see, general attendee tickets are the vast majority of allotted tickets.

In addition to the 4-day tickets listed above, we will also offer a limited number of single-day tickets for those who cannot attend the full week (or for attendees who want to follow specific daily themes, which are outlined in our announcement post here).

These single-day tickets, around 500 tickets per day, will only go on sale sometime in June — so please do keep in mind that when we launch our ticket sale, it’s for the full conference tickets.

OK, so you understand the process and the ticket types, but when are tickets actually going on sale?

We’re so glad you asked 😉

Ticket sale dates

The ticket sales are pretty straightforward, with a few key dates to keep in mind:

  • Wave 1 tickets will go on sale 28/02 at 6 pm CET
  • Crypto auction raffle: To be announced!
  • Wave 2 tickets will go on sale 10/04 at 10 am CET
  • Wave 3 tickets will go on sale 01/06 at 6 pm CET

We’re waiting a bit longer between waves 2 and 3 so that anyone who wants to apply to be a speaker still has the opportunity to buy tickets after the speaker application window has closed.

After all, we wouldn’t want someone to apply, get rejected from a speaking session and then not have the chance to still join us in Paris! We aren’t monsters (debatable, but we mean well) 👾

For those of you hoping to get your hands on a single-day ticket, that sale will be announced soon — please note that when we’re sold out, we’re sold out.

And that’s it! For now.

We know it’s a lot of information to digest, but be sure to keep an eye on Twitter for all of the latest news and announcements related to ticketing, application forms and more.

We’re very much looking forward to bringing the community together once again in Paris this July, and you’ll be hearing more from us soon.

Sending you all of the good ticketing energy we can possibly muster! See you for the wave 1 sale on 28 February ✌️

With 💙🤍❤️ from Paris
