We are strong advocates and supporters of both healthcare and blockchain technology.

Thanks to our efforts over the last 7 years, we have achieved tangible results, such as

• We launched our service in 6 languages (English, German, French, Italian, Russian and Hungarian), collected 18,000 trusted reviews, listed 455,000 doctors, and we continuously help 4 million people every year. Every week, patients seeking doctors express their gratitude for helping them with real, trusted, and detailed reviews.
• As we wrote in previous reports, doctors can pay for services with HEAL tokens.
• As part of the Etheal platform, we were the first in the world to start storing a large number of reviews on the blockchain that can be automatically translated into any language. To live up to the ethos of the blockchain, it is impossible to take these reviews away from doctors.
  We have developed and published our medical tourism module, which has been described in the Etheal Whitepaper.
• We have initiated collaborations with several projects, such as the Immunity Passport Program at Hong Kong Polytechnic University or the International Blockchain Olympiad.

Effects of the Global Pandemic on Medical Tourism

Patients do not travel across countries and, above all, do not travel for medical treatment, so the collapse of medical tourism is not expected to bounce back in the foreseeable future (the market has fallen by over 76%).

Visits to private health care providers have decreased significantly, and people are afraid to go to the doctor in person. Not only internationally, but also on a local level.

Medigo.com, a German healthcare startup backed by $12M VC investment, which was one of the largest players in health tourism, ceased operations in medical tourism in the B2C sector even before the current epidemic broke out.

Related trends such as deglobalization and the hiccups in the global economy increase uncertainty and make foresight and planning almost impossible.
