Adventure Mode Pre-sale Wrap-up and New Updates

Adventure Site Pre-sale Wrap-up
Here are some highlights from the pre-sale itself:
- All sites’ slots were fully purchased.
- The auction became super intense on last 2 days. Hundreds of bids entering the contract as no one wants to miss out the chance to own adventure sites before the rest.
- 2 EMONT sites were sold at around 8,000 EMONT in total, with the highest winning bid of over 1,000 EMONT.
EMONT rewards (100 EMONT or 50 EMONT) have been distributed to your respective registered Etheremon account, if you are eligible for the rewards during the Pre-sale event. Login and visit Referral page to claim the rewards. If you have any questions, drop us an email to contact@etheremon.com
What to expect next…
Adventure Mode release
Adventure Mode will be released around mid-July as announced before.
There will be 2 sub modes: Exploration and Challenge. Read more about the game mode here.
A whole new look for Mon’s page and Battle page
We have been planning to revamp My Mon and Battle page design for a while and now it’s the good time for us to implement the change.
The new look will be more modern and easier for you to read and check progress of your beloved Mons.
Here is a sneak peek of the My Mons page. We will have an announcement for this change again in few weeks’ time.
Change to the current Battle system
1. Ranked battle mode moving off-chain
We have understood your concern about high gas and it has been clearly a blocker for our players to enjoy the game. Unfortunately, there is no good solution for the blockchain scalability issue at the moment. As such, we decided to bring ranked battle off-chain to remove this hurdle for our players.
After this change, playing ranked battle will no longer require any gas fee. This implementation will not impact player’s ownership of Mons. All Mons will be stored in player’s wallet and traded on the blockchain network as usual.
2. Casual Mode being replaced by Adventure — Challenge submode
The current casual battle mode has some limitations that new players will find it hard to defend their castles against overpowered Mons’ teams. Ranked battle mode has been designed to resolve this, however, some casual battle is classic and a must-have for most games.
We believe Challenge submode of the Adventure Mode is a perfect replacement of the current Casual mode. 54 sites will give a good diversity of Guardian Mons’ groups for players to train their Mons.
Starting from today, no castles can be created or attacked and by the time we close this mode, all remaining castles will be converted back into ETH at equivalent value and will be sent to the castle owners’ accounts.
