Rivet — the best blockchain gateway on 🌎 — is now the best way to connect to the Ethereum Classic network.

Rivet + ETC = ❤️ (for BUIDLers)

Where would fish be without chips? What would Rick do without Morty?

Texting sans emoji? (😱)

The subject of today’s announcement would not have even been remotely possible without the support and help of the ETC Labs team. Thank you for being inconceivably awesome. 🥂🤝🏴‍☠️

Some good things are especially brilliant when you put them together. So in the spirit of auspicious duos, the team at OpenRelay is proud to introduce:

Rivet support for Ethereum Classic!

We’re proud to offer this service in partnership with the fine folks at ETC Labs, who have worked tirelessly with us to make this possible. And to all of you who are or will become ETC developers—we can’t wait to see what you’ll BUIDL.

Fantastic news—but how do I get started?

Starting today, every Rivet account will be able to access an ETC endpoint. So many of you are probably wondering, how do I access my ETC endpoint?

Read on to find out!

Step 1: log in to the Rivet dashboard.

Pictured: Where the magic begins.

Go to https://rivet.cloud and select Login in the upper right corner of the page. From there, enter your email and password and select Submit.

If you haven’t signed up yet, tap this super awesome link to go to the signup page.

The next screen to load will be your Rivet dashboard. Easy, right?

Note: If you don’t yet have an account, simply select “Sign up!” from the Login screen — you just need a valid email address and about 47 seconds.

Step 2: Select “ETC” from the network dropdown.

Pictured: the Rivet dashboard (iPad scale).

Look for a dropdown box at the very top of the dashboard that defaults to “Ethereum Mainnet”.

This is the droids you are looking for.

Select that box, and look for an option for ETC. With me so far? Ok — select it.

That’s all there is to it. The UI below the dropdown contains everything you need to get started with Rivet on ETC — so copy that endpoint URL and start making some magic!

Next Steps

Once you’ve got a dapp up and running on ETC, you might find out you need more than our standard free 500k requests. If you do end up needing more, no problem! We offer pay-as-you-go service at a rate of $1/100k requests.

Want to find out what it costs more precisely? Check out our Requestimator.

To upgrade your account, simply select the Upgrade to SCAEL button in the upper right corner of the dashboard and follow the prompts.

Need more than 500k requests this month? Start here.

And as always, if you have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at support@rivet.cloud. Thanks again to our friends at ETC Labs for helping us make this possible. I know I speak for all of us at Rivet and ETC Labs when I say:

We can’t wait to see what you’ll BUIDL.

Cheers!!!
