We are rolling with Ethereum Magicians’ Virtual Summer Sessions! No Beachbody required and no need to worry about sunburns!

Summer is about snacking on watermelon, drinking beer, BBQ, Pool parties, s’mores on the beach… and talk about Ethereum 🏖 It’s all that we all want! But due to the worldwide situation we can’t have this dreamy environment for conversations and meetings. Now let’s imagine that you can make yourself a drink, grab watermelon, put on bikinis (optional) and take your laptop to your garden / balcony and talk to people in the community about Ethereum. Not to a website or app, but to a virtual place. Well, you actually don’t need to imagine it, you can do it!

Ethereum Magicians Virtual Summer Sessions is a place to gather in groups and discuss topics and EIPs in a Magic Garden Environments. This Event will be a set of Zoom sessions covering Governance, EIP Improvement Process and EIP-1559 ⛓🛠

We are going to host Ethereum Magicians’ Virtual Summer Sessions on July 29 !

Ethereum Magicians’ discussion sessions are always special and so will this one be, with your homemade drink in hand. For this event, we worked closely with gather.town team to bring you the most magical experience possible.

Additionally, we are collaborating with Ethereum Enterprise Alliance (EEA), which will host Ethereum in the Enterprise 2020, a free virtual event on July 30. We hope to help communicate how our community collaborates on the protocol, standards and dapps to those who are new to our world . Join some of the top leaders and technologists in the blockchain ecosystem to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Ethereum’s launch!

Everyone’s welcome to join both events!

Sessions

For this event we decided to pick the hottest topics and invite representatives of their groups to update you on what’s happening in Ethereum. We are going to be front runner of the Ethereum Enterprise Alliance (EEA) Conference. We are going to be more focused on the current development of Ethereum, Ethereum Governance and hottest EIP-1559.

Social Governance

The Ether focuses on improving the social governance experience for all Ethereans. Born from a conversation on Ethereum Magicians, The Ether has been building support within the community from day one. MC Mattison and his team will present the evolution of the project and what improvements The Ether will integrate. Greg Colvin, renowned architect of Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and an expert on Ethereum governance, will also be joining this exciting session.

EIP Improvement Process

Group of people who are working to improve EIP Improvement Process and rearranging EIP process. You will find out answers on basic questions about how this group was formed and also you will get to know more about Ethereum Governance.

EIP-1559 Fee market change

One of the hottest and controversial EIPs that’s out and we are going to host this discussion with Q&A with representatives of this EIP. This session will touch base questions like: Why fee market change? What are the different proposals? The current state of development — simulation, testnet, audit, etc. Preview of design goals for which bounty will be announced in a future hackathon (if suitable) and any other update.
