Following our first successful Ambassador program, Polis — ParaState Incentivized Community Initiative — we are delighted to announce Polis II to recruit ambassadors as emissaries of marketing and technology initiatives in our global community to spearhead our next stage of development.

What is Polis II?

We are expanding our ambassador program to continue to grow the project and our community, and attract talented people to be the voice, face and intellectual powerhouse behind ParaState.

Polis was designed to:

Expand the ParaState Ambassador program to fill key positions to support ParaState’s next stage of growth.
Specifically, recruit ambassador-kings for marketing and technical development roles to onboard a strong team of professionals to help launch and grow ParaState.
Create a DAO to take on the marketing for ParaState.

What is ParaState?

ParaState is Ethereum on Steroids. ParaState takes Ethereum chain support to the next level through WasmEdge. Developers can develop and execute high-speed smart contracts with built-in Ethereum compatibility (EVM and EWASM) and interoperability in next-level programming languages like Rust, C ++, and Golang.

How Can You Participate in Polis II?

Duration: We would like to see our ambassadors work with us for at least a year, becoming long-term allies and representatives of ParaState.

Applications will be open throughout the whole duration of the program and evaluated on a rolling basis. Participants who want to make the most of the program’s experience and rewards need to submit their application by the end of February, 2022.

Description of Program

We are launching two ambassador programs — Hermes (Herald of the Gods) and Hephaestus (God of the Forge) to attract ambassadors for marketing and technical development, respectively. If you have and/or are seeking to develop marketing or technical expertise in the blockchain industry, we have two ambassador opportunities to aid you in your professional development, both incentivized through rewards in the $STATE token. We are seeking individuals who want to make a long-term commitment to the ambassador program to help build and become a part of the Paratate ecosystem.

Ambassador Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Hermes (for marketers)

Like the messenger of the gods, Hermes, you are a natural communicator, who will serve as a guide and guardian of social communities on behalf of ParaState. As a member of the Hermes (marketing) ambassador program you will be expected to help spread the word about ParaState and all of its amazing features and capabilities by:

Creating and disseminating marketing material — textual and visual. Blog posts, social posts, infographics, memes, and other marketing materials.
Hosting online/offline events to evangelize ParaState — hosting meetups, streams and other social activities; and helping to expand our community by becoming moderators and regional representatives.
Creating, managing and growing communities in your region.
Translating content and marketing materials into different languages.
Engaging your audience and educating them about ParaState.

Hephaestus (for techies)

As a member of the Hephaestus (technical) ambassador program you will be the technical advocates for Parastate. Like the god of blacksmiths and technology Hephaestus, you have a knack for crafting and forging solutions. You will apply your technical aptitude to help introduce ParaState and its capabilities to other developers by:

Creating educational and tutorial materials for ParaState technology and tools to ease the onboarding of new developers.
Highlighting and explaining in layman’s terms the technical aspects of Parastate, thus evangelizing the awesomeness of ParaState to a broad audience.
Engaging other developers by hosting meetings and calls, and sharing information about ParaState and how to come onboard and help build out its infrastructure.
Testing existing code and proposing meaningful improvements.

All ambassadors will be expected to define their own KPIs depending on their relevant experience and vision for development. This is not a hand-holding or introductory role. You will be expected to be awesome!

Roles

Hermes -

Strategist (marketing campaign manager)

A leader of men (and women) — ideate, compose and execute marketing strategies to evangelize and promote ParaState in a positive manner.

Orator (influencer)

Broaden the social reach of Parastate — create and distribute materials, and videos; and host events to spread the word about ParaState.

Creator (writer/designer)

Professionally write articles and tutorials; create design elements and infographics about ParaState technology and events. Translate materials to other languages.

Prefect (community manager)

Manage, expand and create online and offline communities on major social and professional media.

Hephaestus -

Academian (tester, technical writer)

Professionally and concisely write introductory and tutorial code for the various tools of ParaState.

Priest (new developers recruiter)

Organize, host and manage online and offline developer meet-ups. Spread the word through your personal and professional networks, as well as through public forums.

Smith (coder)

Apply and/or gain experience in Rust and smart contract development on blockchains (e.g. Solidity). For new and experienced developers alike with a strong interest in using ParaState’s next-generation toolset to create top-notch applications.

Ambassador Requirements

We would love to see our ambassadors have the following skills:

Hermes

Substantial experience in their field, being an expert on digital marketing or writing. It is a strong plus if you have experience in marketing and promoting projects in the crypto space.
Perfect or near-perfect grammar and proficient writing skills.

Hephaestus

Strong technical background with the ability to understand the technology behind ParaState with confidence.
A strong personal or professional network, or the ability to create one, as one of the main goals is to help introduce ParaState to the world.

Both

High level of self-organization with strong communicative skills.
The ability to work in a decentralized organization with fluid timetables across multiple time zones.
Strong initiative-taker who can manage under uncertainty.
A go-getter attitude with proposals made and deliverable actions taken in a proactive manner.
Capable of setting and achieving their own KPIs.
Project management or entrepreneurial experience.
Must have 16–20 hours/week available capacity.

Compensation — $STATE Rewards

The ParaState Incentivized Community Initiative (Polis) was developed to support ParaState’s strong commitment to rewarding all community members for contributing to the progress of the ecosystem.

The compensation pool for our ambassadors will be around 30000 USD per month, distributed with a 40:60 ratio between Hermes and Hephaestus, respectively. Compensation is decided individually based on personal qualifications and KPIs. We expect our applicants to come up with and provide KPIs based on their skills, available time and compensation expectation.

The compensation will be either in the STATE token, or a stablecoin, whichever is more convenient, and distributed after KYC/AML.

Limitations

To be eligible you must:

Be 20+.
Make a minimum 12-month commitment to the ParaState DAO.
Make a minimum 20–25 hour work commitment per week.

About ParaState

Known as Ethereum on steroids, ParaState is a multi-chain smart contract platform bridging the application and developer ecosystem between Polkadot, Substrate and Ethereum, as well as other chains wanting to provide Ethereum compatibility. While supporting the EVM pallet to provide seamless compatibility with all existing Ethereum applications, ParaState also provides developers with a next-gen smart contract implementation environment, Ethereum-flavored WebAssembly.
