Welcome to the May edition of the SafeStake newsletter — an exhilarating exploration into the innovative world of SafeStake’s Distributed Validator Technology (DVT) for Ethereum staking. This month’s newsletter is brimming with exciting developments, so buckle up and get ready for an informative ride through the latest in our journey towards Ethereum mainnet!
April has been an incredible month as our testnet, SafeStake on Holesky v3.1, continues to improve. This past week has been remarkable, with a substantial increase in the number of operators who have successfully activated their nodes and started attesting for validators, along with a notable increase in overall node performance.
A huge thank you to all operators for your dedicated efforts and contributions. Your active participation is crucial in helping us advance towards the much-anticipated private mainnet launch. Keep up the great work!
Here’s a breakdown of our progress:
Operator Engagement:
- 50 total operator nodes
- 35 are actively attesting for at least one validator
- 26 have achieved Verified status
A special congratulations to Cindex, Thunderhead, Allnodes, Namdokmai, QuasiMode, and SpaceHunter for current outstanding node performance above 95%! Thank you to all operators for your dedication and effort. Remember, we need a minimum of 20 verified operators with consistent node performance of 95% or better for 30 days to initiate the SafeStake Private Mainnet launch.
Validator Engagement:
- 223 validators are currently active on the network, with a total of 7136 HolETH staked!
The team thanks everyone who has set up and imported a validator to SafeStake testnet! We encourage everyone to test drive SafeStake prior to our mainnet launch by running a validator, and we will be happy to supply HolETH and test $DVT to anyone who will use it for this purpose.

The Road to Mainnet Campaign is in full swing with lots of users participating and earning rewards!
This is your chance to earn XP by participating in social media activities, setting up an operator node or validator on testnet, trading $DVT, and other fun tasks related to SafeStake! To monetize your activities and contributions, the XP you accumulate during the campaign can be swapped for DVT tokens at a later date.

Twitter Spaces with SafeStake Operators
Our Twitter Spaces sessions with professional node operators are designed to foster a deeper connection within the SafeStake community and to provide a platform for meaningful dialogue. These discussions allow operators to share their experiences and insights on running nodes, and offer a space to explore broader topics such as the impact of Distributed Validator Technology (DVT), their experience working with SafeStake, and their perspectives on significant Ethereum proposals that affect ETH staking. Join these sessions to engage with industry peers, delve into critical topics, and enhance your understanding of the evolving landscape of Ethereum staking.

Mainnet Validator Incentive Program Update
We’re excited to announce significant updates to our Mainnet Validator Incentive Program (VIP)! The revised structure is designed to onboard large numbers of mainnet validators quickly and ensure long-term participation by rewarding early adopters and those who keep their validators active on SafeStake.
