The amount of airdropped BZZ tokens participants will receive is not determined by the number of cheques they cash out, but by the value of the actual gBzz tokens their node has earned.

We are happy to see that the network is growing and that hundreds of new nodes are being added daily. Currently, we count more than 13,700 nodes. This will make the Swarm network truly resilient and decentralized. The reality of the world computer is coming closer each day.

This weekend, a known issue with how Geth 1.10 is working for testnets became problematic. This led to the Görli network forking. While investigating and discussing the continuation of the network, the team saw 5,000+ pending gBZZ transactions in the mempool. This is way more transactions than we expected, and it would most likely not happen on the mainnet.

The surge of blockchain transactions related to Swarm comes from users who are cashing out very small amounts of BZZ cheques.

Here, it is important to stress that the amount of airdropped BZZ tokens participants will receive is not determined by the number of cheques they cash out, but by the value of the actual gBzz tokens their node has earned.

What matters for the airdrop is that participants cash out all their cheques just before Swarm switches to the mainnet. That means that all cheques can be cashed out at once and it will earn participants the same amount of BZZ as it would if they did it token by token.

To avoid spamming the Görli network, please don’t cash out small amounts of gBZZ.

We suggest that you cash out at most once per day.

We want to thank the Görli validators, maintainers and the entire ecosystem for keeping this testnet up and running so the entire ecosystem can test and experiment with this EVM.
