📣 Greetings, Etherisc Community. Long time no see!
This week, we have exciting updates for you, including progress on our upcoming de-peg protection product and public staking.

The current state of financial markets has shown us that we´re on the right path with our De-Peg Protection. Recent crashes of crypto-backing banks in America and the accompanying de-peg of USDC have emphasized the importance of our upcoming product. We sense that many voices in the crypto space are becoming more cautious about what was considered “too big to fail” concerning the leading stablecoins. We’re excited to provide a solution that will benefit the entire blockchain community.

🚀 De-Peg Protection: We’re happy to announce that the launch of our De-Peg protection product is around the corner, and we can’t wait to share it with you. We’ve deployed the smart contracts for registry staking on Goerli Testnet, and we’re currently testing all functions before moving on to the ETH Mainnet. We’re conducting a complete integration test, combining oracles, price feeds, and all other components in real life. Thanks to the bug-bounty program and feedback from our community, we’ve improved the product to a point where we’re confident about launching it.

🔒 Public Staking: We’re launching public staking in a Risk Pool along with De-Peg Protection. You can stake your DIP tokens and other stablecoins, earning rewards while providing collateral for various insurance products on the GIF. Eventually, staking DIP tokens will also make you a part of the Governance of the GIF platform. Initially, the first Risk Pool will have a limit of ∽5,000 USD. We will gradually unlock more staking volume to ensure security. Check out our overview in slides for more details:

As announced, there will be a dedicated blog post accompanying the launch. You will find an FAQ section designed to help you navigate the product. If you want any questions included in the FAQ, spam ´em in the known Etherisc channels.

🐛 Bug Bounty Program: Our bug bounty program is still live and has been super-duper helpful for our dev team. Thank you for your support and contributions. 💨 We’re increasingly engaging in the carbon market, exploring carbon offsetting certificates and their trade. We’re working with Floodlight, Coorest, and Chainlink to dive deeper into this space.
By collaborating with these companies, Etherisc can gain more insight into the carbon market and potentially participate in carbon offsetting activities. This can help reduce the global carbon footprint and contribute to efforts to mitigate climate change.
However, it’s important to note that carbon offsetting should not be the solution to address climate change. It’s crucial to prioritize reducing emissions through sustainable practices and transitioning to clean energy sources to achieve long-term, meaningful progress.

😱 Last but not least, we plan to engage our community more by involving them in little side-quests for Etherisc, with compensation in eternal honour and $DIP tokens. Bug hunting, design, and other exciting opportunities are on the horizon. Keep your eyes open for updates!
