🚀 Welcome back to the Etherisc Weekly Community Update. This week, we give you a glimpse into the latest progress on implementing governance on the Etherisc platform, including our four-step development roadmap. We also provide an update on our work with The Lemonade Crypto Climate Coalition and encourage you to join our Discord for more insight!
🤝 Governance — one of the main utilities of the DIP Token gets shape
Community governance has become a key focus for the Etherisc team and we’re happy to report that we have started exploring the topic in collaboration with Kleros, one of the leading curation and arbitration protocols. For those interested to learn how governance will work on Etherisc, here are some of the areas it will be applied:
- Registration and approval of GIF Instances on the various chains and testnets
- Registration and approval of proposed Products, Oracles and Risk Pools on the respective instances
- Approval of proposed Parameter Changes of GIF Instance parameters
- Possible other decision making processes.
In terms of timelines, we are starting at point one on curating GIF Instances and pending testing and confirmation that this works properly, we will then address each of the other areas successively. 🌱 Update on the Lemonade Crypto Climate Coalition
Back in March of this year, we were thrilled to announce that Etherisc was a founding member of The Lemonade Crypto Climate Coalition (LCCC). Now, we have delivered the first module in the LCCC coalition for testing. This module will preprocess weather data for use with Chainlink oracles.
To date, the collaboration with each of our partners has been great and we are happy to join forces with other blockchain and insurance innovators to make a significant impact through this project!
