Etherisc Weekly Update
Tuesday, June 7th, 2022
📣 Dear Etherisc Community,
🚀 Welcome to the Etherisc Weekly Community Update! In this week´s update, we’ll cover:
“The Etherisc Governance Model“ — Matthias is in Berlin at The Blockchain Oracle Summit. Christoph presents at The Chainlink Meetup in Munich. The commissioning of a complete smart contract audit in July. AMA Christoph x Kleros.
🏁 As mentioned in last week´s Community Update, we finished the work on the Etherisc Governance Model (EGM) for the time being, and we are happy to share the document (the “EGM Community Edition”) with the community for review, discussion and feedback. This marks another milestone in our efforts to bring all the different components of our platform together. What do you think about the EGM? Feel free to share your thoughts with us on Discord!
🎯 Our CTO Matthias is in Berlin and will speak at the Blockchain Oracle Summit from June 7–9. Oracles mean truth on the blockchain and are crucial for providing accurate on-chain data for our GIF instances and many other applications depending on parametric data. Matthias will speak about:
- Oracles for Parametric Insurance
- Real-world use cases and their growing significance as the long tail of the oracle market
- Dispute resolution to deal with incorrect real-world data to become an integral part for real-world use cases
🎓 “Web3: The Future of Technology and Consensus” is the event Christoph will speak at tonight. Christoph’s presentation will revolve around decentralized insurance’s benefits, challenges, and potential. This event is part of the Chainlink Community Meetup of Bavaria. Unfortunately, there won´t be a recording or a live stream, but we can share pictures and Christoph´s presentation.
👀🩻We can proudly announce that the codebase of the GIF is now stabilizing. We now see ourselves in a position to commission a full smart contract audit for the entire GIF. We will have multiple, independent and renowned companies to audit the complete code of our smart contracts, yay! These audits will start in July. We will provide you with regular updates regarding the matter; The names of the auditors will only be published after the audit has been finished to ensure that they can work without any external pressure.
🧩 AMA-time: Etherisc and Kleros will answer questions about our collaboration, why we need TCRs (Token Curated Registries), what an arbitration model is, what is a use case of proof-of-humanity, and many more! If you want to pick our minds, this is the opportunity! You can ask questions on our various social media channels, preferably on Discord.
