Etherlink Mainnet Beta: Paving the Way to Launch

We have some exciting news to share with you! Etherlink is now in mainnet beta, the final stage before launch.

Blockchain launches typically occur over multiple stages, with beta rollouts serving various purposes. In the case of Etherlink, the beta phase is for onboarding partners and ensuring a safe and production-ready environment before launch.

A lot happens during beta, all of which can be followed using Etherlink Mainnet explorer. You are also encouraged to use the Testnet playground to get acquainted with Etherlink.

Onboarding Partners

More than 15 partners will be onboarded to Etherlink during this stage, laying the bedrock for the main launch.

Here’s what you can expect once beta is concluded:

• Users will have the opportunity to interact with innovative DeFi solutions built on Etherlink, such as Hanji, Plend from the DeFi Catalyst Accelerator (DCA), and many more.
• Builders: Projects building on Etherlink will be able to take advantage of robust infrastructure, cutting-edge tools, funding, and resources that simplify bringing new users on board, addressing a critical challenge in the Web3 space.
• For example, OpenPad launchpad provides funding support, Thirdweb allows for easy deployment of smart contracts across all EVM chains, and LayerZero enables developers to build seamless omnichain applications, tokens, and experiences.

Community-governed sequencer

To ensure a low-latency user experience of 500ms block time, MIDL.dev is operating the first sequencer. Now, the community can determine the sequencer operator through Etherlink’s on-chain decentralized governance.

Security: No cutting corners

Etherlink is permissionless, inherits Tezos Layer 1 security, and features a decentralized governance model, fraud proofs, and censorship resistance. To ensure the system’s integrity, thorough testing and additional audits are being conducted.
